Recently, The company I work for, The Iona Group, finished up work on a new web shiny for Tyson called Improv-o-gram. In essence, it lets you create an e-card to send to someone. No big deal, right? These things are all over the place!

Well, here’s the twist, instead of the usual Flash animation, this uses real actors! Using technology created by Oddcast to create Monk-e-Mail, you can use text, record with your computer’s microphone or call in using a telephone and send a personal message to someone.

I was the DP on the project. We shot 12½ hours of green screen footage during a 5 day shoot. Post was taking place in the next room. We ended up with around 155 minutes of finished footage. That means we shot and posted a 2½ hour feature in less than a week! A long but fun week.
